Levi Leipheimer accused of EPO by former pro cyclist
So facebook is brilliant. It allows people to post comments that may be deleted later, but not before someone gets a screen capture of the event. Last night, Chad Gerlach, a former team mate of Lance Armstrong implicated Levi Leipheimer, a 3 time Amgen Tour of California winner. It’s ironic of course that Amgen manufactures EPO, and that Gerlach implicates Leipheimer in the use of EPO. EPO is useful in its applications for cancer patients who have undergone chemotherapy and Autologous Stem Cell Transplants. It will be interesting to see how the latest Floyd Landis doping allegations are picked up along with this story.
